Riding the Knox & Kane

Wordless Wednesday . . .

Knox+Kane RRPulling into the station at Marienville. Knox & Kane Railroad runs over tracks originally belonging to the B&O in Forest Co., PA. It used to cross the Kinzua (pronounced Kin-zoo) Bridge, 301 feet high, but a tornado destroyed it.

This was taken on our ride in 2002. I understand the track lost it's certification so there aren't even members' runs currently. It's too bad because it's a gorgeous run.

My boys are both HUGE train-admirers. They came running in to see this picture right now. You've made their day!

Happy WW!
