Movement: one decision at a time

“The first step toward getting somewhere is to decide you are not going to stay where you are.” – J. P. Morgan (1837-1913)

Just a short thought here. There has been a lot of buzz on the internet today about starting business, being in business, taking business to the next level and managing the risks involved in those endeavors.

Sometimes the whole prospect about movement whether it’s forward, or backward, or lateral becomes the stumbling block. The idea of moving from where we already are, where things are known, is often the greatest challenge.

Morgan takes an inverse perspective and suggests deciding what we aren’t going to do. And truthfully it accomplishes more that is apparent; it narrows the available choices immediately.
